Amanda Herbrand, MD, BSc. Physics, is an oncologist in training, currently focusing on R&D around clinical data capture. After graduating Medical school, Amanda conducted research about the prevalence of off-label drug use in oncology in Switzerland and the association of reimbursement with underlying trial evidence before she entered the clinical world. She has contributed to the exCEIT project and is currently exploring the relationship between incidence of a cancer entity and the respectively approved drugs. Amanda has experience in understanding and analyzing clinical workflows and dataflows after consulting on a software development project for a big medical technology company. She brings an understanding of data requirements to assure interoperability and sustainability as well as of clinical implementation and applicability of the data.
